Yoga is For Everyone – Options

We can work together to determine the best option for you.
See below for a better understanding of your yoga possibilities.

Private Instruction

Private yoga instruction is a great option for those wanting a more personalized yoga experience.  Instruction is tailored to your needs and can accommodate Fit to Fragile including those with limited mobility.  Instruction can be at Get Bent Yoga studio space, online via Zoom, or a location of your choice.  Feel more comfortable coming with a friend? Private instruction can accommodate one to two people.

Corporate Yoga

Corporate yoga is a wellness initiative sponsored by organizations that care about their employees’ wellbeing.  This class guides students through simple yoga stretches and postures, breathing techniques, and meditation/mindfulness exercises. The main goal of corporate yoga is to enhance the mental/physical well-being of the workplace while saving the corporation money when it comes to employee-related expenses. Many companies now recognize the value of yoga and are offering classes to their employees as part of their stress reduction and corporate wellness programs during the workday.

Beginner-Gentle-Relaxation Yoga

This class is perfect for beginners and those who have been living a more sedentary lifestyle or have physical limitations.  We introduce students to the foundations of yoga which include breath work and yoga poses that aid in stress reduction and increase overall health.  Most of the poses are on the floor (or adapted to a chair) with some occasional standing poses. Emphasis is placed on ways to safely increase flexibility and balance while gradually building strength.  Class presents at a slower pace with modifications given.

Hatha or Vinyasa Flow Yoga

Flow Yoga emphasizes breath awareness, as we flow through a sequence of standing and seated poses, to create a moving meditation.  Flow yoga can be a slower paced (HATHA) or a more dynamic (VINYASA) class dependent upon the needs of the student.  Postures will improve strength, flexibility and balance as we work through creative and powerful sequences.  Modifications are always given. Just a willingness to learn and playful “be where you are” attitude is all that’s needed. Perfect for the young and young at heart.

Stretching It Out

Need some flexibility, core, and/or balance training for yourself or your sports team?  Static poses can be tailored to your individual needs or the needs of the group.  Yoga has been proven to enhance performance when used as a cross training tool for running, baseball, softball, soccer, etc.

Restorative Yoga

Restorative Yoga is a breath of fresh air.  The practice is gentle, slow, and involves long, passive holds in a series of 4-6 restful poses. Yogis are often supported by props to enhance or deepen their experience and achieve a state of total relaxation and release.

Yin Yoga

Yin Yoga works to stretch the deep connective tissues of the body including the ligaments, joints, and fascia.  Through the use of stillness, with each pose being held for several minutes, we allow the body to open and expand at a more gradual pace.  This class is comprised of mostly seated postures and is suitable for all levels, beginner through advanced.
